from the base of ψωμιον, - psomion G 5596; to supply with bits, i.e. (generally) to nourish:--(bestow to) feed.
ψωμιζε Rom 12:20 Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.
ψωμισω 1 Cor 13:3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.
