5445 GREEK φυραμα, PHURAMA foo'-ram-ah from a prolonged form of phuro (to mix a liquid with a solid; perhaps akin to φυω, - phuo G 5453 through the idea of swelling in bulk), mean to knead; a mass of dough:--lump. φυραματος Rom 9:21 Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour? φυραμα Rom 11:16 For if the firstfruit be holy, the lump is also holy: and if the root be holy, so are the branches. 1 Cor 5:6 Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump? 1 Cor 5:7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us: Gal 5:9 A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump.
