from υστερος, - husteros G 5306; to be later, i.e. (by implication) to be inferior; generally, to fall short (be deficient):--come behind (short), be destitute, fail, lack, suffer need, (be in) want, be the worse.



υστερεισθαι Luke 15:14 And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that land; and he began to be in want. 1 Cor 1:7 So that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ: Php 4:12 I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.
