2659 GREEK κατανυξις, KATANUXIS kat-an'-oox-is from κατανυσσω, - katanusso G 2660; a prickling (sensation, as of the limbs asleep), i.e. (by implication, (perhaps by some confusion with νευω, - neuo G 3506 or even with 3571)) stupor (lethargy):--slumber. κατανυξεως Rom 11:8 (According as it is written, God hath given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear;) unto this day.
