from a presumed compound of ευ, - eu G 2095 and the base of δοκεω, - dokeo G 1380; satisfaction, i.e. (subjectively) delight, or (objectively) kindness, wish, purpose:--desire, good pleasure (will), X seem good.



ευδοκιαν Eph 1:5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, Eph 1:9 Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself: Php 1:15 Some indeed preach Christ even of envy and strife; and some also of good will: 2 Th 1:11 Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power:
