from εκ, - ek G 1537 and τρεφω, - trepho G 5142; to rear up to maturity, i.e. (genitive case) to cherish or train:--bring up, nourish.
εκτρεφει Eph 5:29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:
εκτρεφετε Eph 6:4 And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
