[ Make a Confession ]
Restitution must be done according to Matthew 5:23-24 "Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee; Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift."
As a disciple of Jesus, you will rectify and correct your ways. This is restitution:
1. Confess crime to those you have offended, apologize
2. Seek forgiveness from those you have offended
3. Make good what you have damaged, restore it, bring it back. For example, restore stolen things to the rightful owner
4. Confess lies told (or acted) to those deceived
5. Pay back just debts owed
6. Relinquish false claims, false property, false results, false certificates
7. Uncover hidden crime committed against an individual or the society around you
Matthew 5:23-24 shows that you must make restitution before you offer any service to God - before you pray, or even participate in church worship.
